i see many threads that address this issue, but i still don't have a clear thought on this.
so i want your help.. the governing body misleads the members- no doubt.
they do change some of their history to make the wt organization look smarter or better-guided by "jehovah.
One thing for sure the higher up the ladder you go in this organization the more ass kissing and privileges are bestowed upon you.
I remember when Knorr gave a talk at an Assembly one Sunday afternoon, I sat at the back of the stage as an assistant and I witnessed first hand the brotherly ass kissing
that he got before and after the talk.
You'd think that he was Jesus himself who just spoke.
If I remember correctly at the end of his talk he thanked everyone for all of the brotherly ass kissing.

that he always appears to be very old..........ummmm?
Must be that old and wise fatherly image that god is suppose to have.
Its been talked about too about how old this individual looks on the Turin,
the process of how the image had imprinted itself on the cloth may be responsible.

I think the police were quite competent in this case, if they had bungled it they would have lost and he would have gotten off.
A few decades ago I think he wouldn't have been charged and convicted on the crime.
Crime detection and investigation has improved substantially over the years.
He thought he could out smart the police by making it all look like a burglary attempt that went wrong.
In doing so he wouldn't be punished and save face with friends and family and receive total empathy from them.
The no witnesses to the act was quite engulfed in his mind and he played on that probably more than he should have which brought supposition upon himself.
Sounds like the marriage was heading for its end and he couldn't emotionally handle it, which eventually brought him to do what he did.
Fortunately for the kids they are of an age they will forget most of it, sad story nonetheless for all concerned for sure.

Even if it was Jesus's burial cloth does it really matter, does it prove that he was a living omni-god, the son of god so to speak....hardly
I believe there was a Jesus of Nazareth, whether he was all what the writers of the bible say he did and was, is quite something else.
in total, the last few years, for family and a few friends, i spent over $2000.. this year, i expect to spend no more than $1000.. will you spend more or less this year?.
Not so much on gifts, there was a time when I was just started dating the better half and I may have been out to impress her, that I may have gone over board.
Now days money is set aside for Dinning out, entertainment and vacations, still not a big celebrator of Christendom's Christmas and all of the phony commercial hype.
Have yet to put up a Christmas tree, probably never will.
I do join the neighbors in put up Christmas lights though, they brighten up the place in the dark of winter.
What only JWs are fascinated with science fiction stories such as Star Trek and alike.

last saturday afternoon i heard the talk, "put on the lord jesus christ," at the circuit assembly.. one of the overriding questions guiding christians into straight paths was the expected, "what would jesus do?
" citing various texts, the speaker admonished that we should put up a hard fight for the faith, arming ourselves as soldiers.
all good.
Devoted and indoctrinated JWS are very sly when confronted on talking about the maligning misdeeds of
the organization, applying spiritual warfare might be the cause, running away and not talking about such things is the easiest way to handle
situations like that. The inter-net and the age of information is changing a lot of these types of corrupt religious organizations, information
that once was kept in control and carefully hidden by the organization is now incapable of doing so.
